Murasaki Purple Pepper seeds are a unique landrace Japanese sweet pepper known for its vibrant deep purple color and mild, fruity flavor. This variety thrives in warm climates and can be grown both in gardens and containers. It is ideal for fresh eating, adding color to dishes, or pickling. For planting, start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in well-draining seed-starting mix and keep soil consistently moist at 70-80°F for optimal germination. Transplant seedlings outdoors after all danger of frost has passed, spacing plants 18-24 inches apart in full sun. Maintain regular watering and use balanced fertilizer to encourage healthy growth and abundant fruiting.
